My students come from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic circumstances. Those that attend my Capstone, Sociology or Anthropology classes are engaged but don't always have the necessities they need to learn and grow.
Many students are willing to learn but neither their families nor the school district has the money to provide the supplies they need to academically or socially thrive. I spend my own money to supplement when I can for supplies, but it's hard to come up with the amount needed to support the over 150 students I teach. Please understand that I economically use supplies and do not waste them. You can feel good that you are further supporting the education of the Danbury community by making a contribution.
