My students are very excited learners who have lots of energy and talent. They learn the best through doing - by getting their hands dirty and experiencing what they are learning rather than hearing it via the "sage on the stage." Unfortunately, I do not have instruments for my general music class. My students do not have an opportunity to create or perform music. I regularly have 37 students per classroom, and in a school classified as a "focus school," I need to do anything I can to promote student learning. The budget at my school is very tight (we are a Title-I eligible school) and I have no feasible way of purchasing instruments or supplies for my students.
