I teach at a 6-8 with an enrollment of approximately 500 students. We are a diverse population--approximately 30% students of color, and almost 30% free or reduced lunch. I teach orchestra. The demographics of my classroom match those of the school. But more importantly, I have students who love music, who are enthusiastic about learning, and who desire to be excellent in their (our) craft.
