Currently, I am able to send home books in book bags daily with students, but they aren't able to keep them at home permanently. These books are shared by the whole class and are rotated amongst their book bags. While we do visit the school library, and each student is able to bring one book home a week, this isn't enough for students to truly explore their love of literature, nor is it a permanent solution. By donating to our project, you will not only help parents begin to understand the power of literacy in the home, but also you will provide children with books they will love and return to for years to come. Students will be able to sit with their loved ones and enjoy these books time and time again, building both positive memories of reading, but also fostering a life-long love of literature.
