With 18 years of teaching experience in public schools, I am beyond excited to begin my first year at Stanley A. Hupfeld Academy. I teach 4th graders in a high poverty neighborhood in Oklahoma City. At least 90% of our charter school students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program.
I believe in facilitating a classroom where students take ownership of their learning. I teach all subjects and inspire my 4th graders to become life long learners through fun, and engaging lessons, activities, and projects. Many of the jobs/careers these students will hold in the future have not been created yet. It is crucial for students to learn communication and problem solving skills to be successful both now and in the future. I look forward to the goals we will meet and exceed this year!
