Second graders are so much fun! They are starting to discover more about themselves and what makes them special and unique. Their personalities really start to shine during this fascinating period of self-discovery. It's wonderful to see them becoming less focused on themselves and more concerned for others, developing empathy along the way. There is so much growth that happens at this grade level. Their memories and recall abilities are truly impressive! They are excited about learning, becoming independent, and starting to understand humor. It's an exhilarating grade to teach and I am grateful to be their teacher!
