This is my ninth year teaching 3rd grade and my 13th year teaching. As any teacher encounters, every year is different and I am constantly learning about myself and my students. Teaching has always been something I loved. Like any career, it has it's good days and bad. What I've learned, is the bad days never outweigh the good and I always can find some silver lining to every situation.
This year's students has been a challenge for me. I have multiple behavioral issues as well as low, struggling students. Working with both of these has been stressful but a learning experience. It has helped me to reflect on my teaching and support my growth in meaningful lessons.
Like any classroom, there is always room for growth in the physical aspect. I have dreams of my ultimate classroom (that will increase student achievement) that through programs like, Donors Choose, will help make it a reality.
