My classroom is building a sense of community. From the arrangement centered around our meeting space, to the centers encouraging teamwork, the environment itself suggests community. We keep a consistent, comfortably paced routine for children to learn in large group, small group, and one-to-one configurations. Our daily morning meetings help us plan our day and learn from and about each other. Our daily music experiences are a joyful way of learning and collaborating. Our story time always includes opportunity for questions and life connections. You may even find us in the middle of a dramatic retelling or making up a new ending! In our classroom you are wanted, you are respected, and you are learning.
