My school is a small K-6 elementary school in rural Maine. A large majority of students qualify for free/reduced lunch and do not have access to technology at home.
My students have a wide range of abilities in Literacy and Math. My school is working towards implementing a workshop model of learning and instruction. We are also working on aligning our instruction with the Common Core Standards. Both initiatives allow students to work at their own levels in small collaborative groups in both subject areas. Science and Social Studies topics are integrated into the activities at each station.
