My class will use blocks to practice their social and emotional skills (sharing, working together and collaborating). They will also use blocks to learn about STEM by balancing, stacking, creating and engineering.
In Pre-K 4 block play encourages students to build and create while working together and enhancing their social skills. The Trinity Tigers (my class) also need diverse people (different races, ages, genders and abilities) and transportation vehicles to engage in culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate dramatic play.
In Pre-K 4 children learn through play. Please consider donating to this project so that all children may have the opportunity for poignant and powerful play.
