Working in a high poverty district opens teachers' worlds to truths many don't know. The simple things in life are hard to come by for our students. The disparity within district makes us realize how much more our students need our commitment to helping them be successful. I am committed to bridging the disadvantages they face to the resources they need to be 21st century ready. I am committed to creating an active learning environment. Teachers are expected to fill varying levels of voids that our students carry with minimal resources. Even with their out of school struggles, our students come and care everyday about making the right choices and doing what they are guided to do to get the most out of their education...I am committed to come and care about them.
