Every day our students have 45 minutes of SSR. The library I inherited this year (my first year teaching) is a small and seemingly out of date. So I have asked my students what books or artists they would like to see added to my library or that they would like to bring home. The books on this list echo their requests. To help encourage the students read more, they earn points for every day of reading and bonus points for finishing books. When they earn 25 points they can redeem the points for a book of their choice to take home.
