My students live in a rural environment and most of them live at or below the national poverty levels. The experience that they get in the high school science programs will help to positively change their lives. It offers the exposure to success that they would other wise not receive. The majority of the students here are on the free or reduced lunch program and so asking them to bring in supplies and/or money for equipment is not an option.
