I teach at a Title I school that is majority filled with African-American and Hispanic students ready to participate in physical education!! They are very active and knowledgeable about their situation at home and at school. Our school district has one of the highest poverty rates in the state of North Carolina. The school does the best that it can to provide students with a quality education and a safe place to come each and everyday. With that being said, electives such as physical education sometimes get over looked; which is sad because usually that is most of the student's favorite class.
