My school is a large high school in a major metropolitan city. In recent years, the school media program disappeared. This year students from diverse backgrounds have worked together to create a new school newspaper that will be published quarterly. Additionally, the students will launch an monthly online edition of the school paper. Their goal is to create publications both online and in print that will be a public forum for their peers with news and information geared to the student body. Many times students feel that their voices are unheard in today's media. The goal of these new student publications is to deliver news, information, opinion, and entertainment for students by students.
