"We care about ourselves and the world around us"
I teach and amazing group of 5th grade students at a Title I School in an urban city in Colorado - we are at 93% free and reduced lunch. My students are incredibly excited about learning and have developed a huge thirst for knowledge about the world around them. We recite our daily creed which begins with the quote above. Many of my students are from around the world.
They are a diverse group of multicultural students; from English Language Learners to the highly gifted to autistic students. My students know that doing their best work is most important in my classroom. That respect, responsibility, and attitude ensures that everyone has an equal opportunity for learning.
