I have a class of 18 excited kindergarteners with high goals for themselves and a love of learning. These are students from very low socioeconomic levels. Many of my students do not have books at home but they love to read. They always enjoy learning about "real things" but their lack of financial resources means their learning comes from reading about it and asking questions. My students are learning and growing each day thanks to the support of donors through projects I have completed through Donors Choose. Funds donated for projects provide essential materials and opportunities that my students would otherwise not have due to their socioeconomic level of their family.
