Our school is a large elementary school with over 800 students. We are designated Title I as our average parent education level is below high school & the socioeconomic level qualifies the school and all the students for free breakfast and lunch. The teachers are dedicated, committed & educated professionals & have been employed at the school for 10+years. They stayed despite threat of pay cuts & layoffs, longer hours, larger classes, few volunteers, increased monthly health co pays & language barriers. Many of our teachers are also the before & after school intervention teachers as well as hold positions on the PTA.The only way to describe our school is one with a strong leader as a principal & a staff with a huge heart & passion to make a difference. When we are asked how many students we have in our classes, many of us say 800. We all look out for everyone. Through lock downs, testing, budget cuts etc, we are all on this journey together. NO one is left behind.
