My classroom is a self contained special needs environment. This is the first time we have been able to provide our kids with a beginning band class. The results have been nothing more than outstanding. The kids are totally involved and respond with excitement and enthusiasm. The Special Olympics organization has mentioned the ukulele club as an activity that has shown remarkable results and our band director has volunteered to lead our kids in this learning experience. I am asking for a Ukelele Education Pack with a Tuner and accessories and a four Ukulele Learn to Play Bundles. With these resources my students will be able to play in the High School and work their fine motor skills and coping skills. We are counting on the generosity of the community to help us achieve this goal and will be eternally grateful for any response that comes our way.
