Currently, my students are in the Elementary School. In the past, I taught in Middle School.
My younger students require more hands-on resources, structure and organization. My remarkable youngsters come to me with various learning disabilities. They are from a very low income area. Many of them have very hard lives and despite the obstacles that they have to face on a daily basis, they still manage to come to school with smiling faces. They come to school eager to learn and full of life. They are happy with the simple things and are grateful to have the little bit that they do. They enjoy coming to into my classroom as it is a cheerful environment. My students feel happy and safe which allows them to freely express themselves. They are free to use toys or art to enhance their learning and understanding of basic concepts. The supplies that they use are unique in that they allow learning through multiple modalities.
