We're a Title 1 campus with about 550 scholars; which 91% are economically disadvantaged, 100% receive free lunch, and 42% of our English Language Learners are Limited English Proficient (LEP). As a first and mid-year teacher I had no time to get supplies needed for my classroom or the funds being that this is my first career job. Despite of, my students show an abundance of creativity and passion for learning. They crave for more engaging activities and opportunities to reach their full potential and it's my job to help students meet this. I want to show them that regardless of where they come from, there is no limit to where their knowledge and skills will take them. It's so important that I do what I can to make sure that they're able to experience hands on learning activities, technology opportunities for those who don't get it at home, and a loving learning comfortable classroom community.
About my class
