Many of my students come from disenfranchised families. In fact, many students' parents or guardians work in the fields in the local farms in town. Most of our students qualify for a free lunch. Although our students face many challenges daily like having to care for siblings while parents work two jobs, most students want to succeed in school. Students have basic school needs that must be met to ensure they are successful.
