When my students walk into the classroom every morning, they are excited to tell me about the book that they read or finished reading at home. My students love to read and get excited when they get to pick a new book to take home to read. I love to support my students with their reading and I am determined to do everything I can, to help them learn or to improve their reading skills. Our school is located in a high poverty area where at times there is not enough money to provide clothes and food let alone books to read. Our parents work really hard to provide for their kids that most of the time, they do not have time to help them with their homework or read with them. They don't have time to take them to the library to borrow books to read at home. Every day I make sure that each of my students goes home with a book to read. This is why every morning I get greeted with a big smile full of excitement and my students telling me "Teacher I finished the book that you gave me."
