In high school, our students get stuck looking at textbooks and worksheets and reading assignments and lab manuals. I love being able provide them with a creative avenue to learn the material.
The ideas and concepts of biology can be difficult to visualize and understand. 3-D models are such an excellent tool for all students to reference, but visual learners in particular.
Having a class set of calculators would be such a wonderful tool. Our kids are relying too much on their smart phones, and they are not allowed to use them during class at our school. Having some simple calculators would give them the right tools for calculations in the science classroom without needing to pull out their trusty cell phones.
