Our school is a low-income, high needs school with students who usually walk or ride the bus to school. With our counselor and principals' help, we have worked to offer more electives and strengthened our core subjects. I teach English IV (seniors) and English I (freshman). I am also in charge of the high school yearbook and newspaper. Our students range from 9th grade to 12th grade and include all different levels of social-economic backgrounds as well as reading and writing levels. I hope to help my students to become ready for life after high school: whether they choose a college, military, or the workforce.
