I have a total of 34 students, ages 5-6 years. They are very active, inquisitive, excited about learning and want to read "like the big kids". They generally arrive at school with a smile on their faces ready to learn whatever I have prepared. They are fun to be with and I truly enjoy them. Our school has approximately 550 students and is located on the outskirts of the second largest city in our state. Our student body is comprised of various cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is mostly open concept classrooms with the exclusion of the kindergarten area. We have a small, but nice, playground for the children to play on as time allows.
