I work at a Title 1 school, which means that we are 100% free or reduced lunch, in Phoenix, AZ . My kids are the best my families have to offer. My first graders come to me thriving for knowledge, structure and consistency. When they arrive in my class I provide all these things in a safe and loving environment that is tailored to them. I have removed all student desks and replaced with community tables. I removed my teacher desk to allow for a student centered library. I try to create a family culture in my class because for most of my students my class is the only consistent family they have.
