We are located in an inner-city area. Our students come from low socio-economic levels. Their various backgrounds lack many necessary tools/skills required to excel and equitably be successful in their education. There is a significant need in developing 20th century skills needed to excel in today's society and meet state standards. Students need and require hands-on projects and learning experiences that will allow them to develop all life skills. Our school is an elementary school with limited resources and funds in these areas. My students would greatly benefit from the tools on these lists to continue developing their cognitive, social and emotional growth. All children need these opportunities in life and need someone to care for them.
