My students are fun, energetic lovers of learning.
They attend a suburban public school, grades 1 through 5, in Western Massachusetts. All students receive free breakfast and lunch and many come from families who are considered at or below poverty level. Many of my students are second language learners. Others have been identified as special learners with social and emotional needs. My classroom is a diverse community of learners. Eighteen students bring their skills and stories to my classroom each day. Students are learning to embrace the ideas of accepting and appreciating others and to be actively involved in their education.
