As a veteran second grade teacher who cares so much about fostering a loving, warm atmosphere for her students, it is challenging to not go into debt at the beginning of the school year. There is so much that goes into making a successful room that is welcoming and creates an environment that works for all students.
I am always looking for more authentic ways for them to engage in learning, create excitement and build a safe place to learn.
My students need magna tiles for creative STEM related activities, clipboards that double as white boards for group activities, cozy pillows to make our classroom feel safe and inviting, and lots of different pens, markers and paper to fuel growing creativity.
Unfortunately, schools cannot provide the funds teachers need to create an up to date classroom that runs smoothly, and teachers are left spending their own money on supplies. By donating to my class you give a gift that keeps on giving.
