My students and I live in a small, yet fast growing city in the state of Alabama. Over the past ten years, our city has consistently been at or near the top of the list of the fastest growing cities in the state. We enjoy the small town friendly atmosphere while being in close proximity to large city amenities.
I have 16 students in my classroom on a daily basis. As the state requirements are continuously changing and the pressure to meet standards are somewhat overwhelming, I strongly feel that hands-on learning experiences actively encourage my students to participate in learning on a daily basis.
