I work in a large school district with 13 elementary schools. Our resources are stretched for our students. Our elementary school is a very culturally and socio-economically diverse school. For the most part our parents take a great active role in the education of their children but for the past 7 years I have seen our parent volunteers and PTA quickly dwindle due to many stay at home parents going back to work. Also, we have more students on the free and reduced lunch program. Even though our economic times are tough our students love to learn and they want more technology in the classroom.
