Greetings from a year of firsts with my first graders! I am a fifth year teacher at a turnaround school in Chicago. Many people told me my first year would be the hardest year of my life and my social life would take the biggest blow...both were true but they forgot to mention how fast the year would go by and how many times I'd fall in love with my kiddos each year. I do what I love and love what I do.
As I begin my 5th year of teaching I can not believe how much fun I've had! Each year is certainly not without challenges but I'm grateful for the growth and ready to give it another go. In September I will have a chance to learn and grow as a first grade teacher and we need your help. If you are willing and able, please view my classroom wish list and donate what you can.
This opportunity will continue helping my babies fall in love with learning and explore the world beyond Chicago through inquiry-based learning.
