The students will collaborate, be creative, and take control of their learning with Ozobots. Lessons taught with the Ozobots cover many academics standards in multiple subjects such as science, math, and language arts. I plan to focus on coding and computer science, but my Ozobot lessons will also connect to topics such as constellations, animal habitats, light, geometry, and identifying elements of a story! Ozobots can follow lines, roam, or can be programmed by the students to follow given codes. Calculating areas of geometric figures, creating timelines of key historical events, or having the Ozobot act as a character in a story to move through key events are just some examples of lessons that will be taught. Ozobots are small, portable, and will be easy for students to access in the classroom. Student collaboration during programming will be encouraged. This will lead to valuable discussions that will strengthen student learning.
