My students are amazing! They are funny and can be very determined. One of my goals this year has been to help them see their potential. We work on setting goals for ourselves, personally and academically. The majority of my students struggle with reading and reading comprehension.
My school is a focus school. Our school improvement plan centers around the need for our students to be better readers. The majority of our students are newer to the US and face serious economic hardships.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of my families this year. What I have seen from them is a strong desire to better their children's lives. They are in contact with me on a regular basis. It is a good partnership.
