I teach Biology at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach My students are predominantly students of color and come from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students are dedicated and hard working, despite them often being labeled as "bad kids". I aim to provide my students with hands on lab experiments and real world curricular applications to make science and learning meaningful to them.
In addition, I sponsor the Ukulele Club, spreading joy and relaxation through music.
