This is my 35th year to teach, and I work with academically gifted students in grades 1-5. My scholars are outstanding students that strive for success, but embrace mistakes so they can learn and grow. They attend school in a Title I building, and come from varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
However, one commonality with these first through fifth grade gifted students is they all thirst for knowledge, and want to go above and beyond what is expected of them.
My students are eager to think outside the box and to develop creatively. They ponder big ideas and exercise their intellect. They all share a goal to become life-long learners and to follow their passions.
