I currently teach two sections of Sophomore English and four sections of IB Philosophy at Lincoln High School. In Sophomore English we explore the intersection of theory and literature, and discuss the many ways we as readers make meaning from texts. We read a variety of American texts that offer diverse perspectives of the American experience. In IB Philosophy students explore issues that are profound, usually difficult, and important for humanity. IB Philosophy aims to be inclusive and to deal with a wide range of issues that can be approached in a philosophical way, such as what exists? What is it to be a human being? What can we know? How do I know what is the right thing to do?
