Our classroom is in an urban setting. We have almost 70% low income students in our school overall. My classroom has many english language learners. My school consists of a diverse community of students with a wide range of abilities, languages, different races, and other home dynamics. They are funny, playful, hardworking, and thoughtful. They're always curious and ask questions about the things around them. However, there are many factors that prevent some of my students from receiving opportunities or life experiences. Due to these factors, many of my students and their families rely on the school and the teachers to develop their love for learning and to help them continue their growth as learners. Despite the many challenges they face, I look forward to cultivating a classroom environment where my students can create meaningful learning experiences.
