A subscription to Scholastic News Magazine will be a great resource for my students to keep current on what's going on in the world around them. It is important for children to be in touch with what is happening around them because it encourages them to be independent thinkers. Using Scholastic News Magazine in the classroom will grow my students background knowledge in multiple areas. They will be able to access informational text in a fun, interesting and engaging way. Not only are the pictures wonderful but Scholastic News Magazine allows students to learn about relevant topics in a developmentally appropriate way. The addition of Scholastic News Magazine to my classroom would help my class stay current on events happening locally and internationally.
