After doing research on flexible seating there is NO doubt that I want to implement this non traditional practice in my classroom next year.
The majority of my students have not been exposed to a school setting, and I want my students to feel empowered by having choice and control over their learning environment. Providing flexible seating options will not only make them feel like they have choice, but also give them the opportunity to expand their vocabulary, obtain social skills, be active learners and over all feel comfortable!! A comfortable student remains calm, focused and productive! And when children are given these types of opportunities they blossom before our eyes.
