Our school is located in a suburb outside the city. We house first through third grade and our technology resources are at a bare minimum. The school overall incorporates many character education lessons to help support the needs of our students. The students in my second grade classroom are a very diverse group of children. Many of the students are on free and reduced lunches and from lower school economic backgrounds. It is hard to get involvement from home to support the educational needs of these students. The other part are from average to higher economic backgrounds where the parents are very involved in their child's education. ALL of the students this year are very eager to learn but have many educational, behavioral, and exceptional needs. As always EACH of my students has their very own unique story. They enjoy engaging in hands on activities which makes their learning more meaningful. The more I can relate to their own life experiences the better for the students
