I work at Prieto Math and Science Academy in the city of Chicago. Our students come from modest backgrounds and our community has been hit especially hard by Covid 19 with the most cases in our state. We have needs as a school community, but each class has specific needs. As a special education teacher the scholars I teach have individualized needs such as specialized learning, small group instruction, and daily supplies. With Covid 19 the special education classroom will look completely different. Help me! My classroom includes students who need a smaller teacher to student ratio to attain curriculum and improve areas where they struggle within the curriculum. I am so pumped but to ensure the safety of students we need a new class set up. Prieto is a Chicago Public School on the west side of the City of Chicago. We are a Title I school. Be a hero, help kids in need, and make our school's dreams come true!!!
