We have already completed Bunnicula as a reading group and they are ready to keep reading! My fifth grade students loved lights out reading with their flashlights, comfy reading pillows, and book. Lights out reading is a new favorite that we do every Friday. \r\n\r\nMy students also love sitting in the large spinning \"teacher\" chair when they have to complete difficult work, or work on their iPads. Two students can fit on a chair and they also love to sit and partner read. \r\n\r\nOur bulletin board, full of Polaroids, shows off students competing their work to anyone who walks through our hallway. I have had students ask to take this room with them when they leave. The fact that my students look forward to having a space they can call their own when they come to intervention is what education is all about.
