After using the LaFountaine of Knowledge 4th and 5th grade math bundles in my classroom for the past couple of months, I can truly see the difference your support has made. The hands-on games, interactive notebooks, and engaging practice activities have brought new energy to our math block and helped my students approach learning with greater confidence and curiosity. The resources align beautifully with Alaska's Standards-Based System and fit seamlessly into my multi-grade classroom.\r\n\r\nThese materials have become a core part of our daily math centers. I use them for direct instruction, small-group lessons, and independent practice, which allows students to work at their own level while staying meaningfully engaged. The clear structure and variety have helped students build stronger skills and develop independence, while also allowing me to spend more focused time supporting individual learners.\r\n\r\nBecause these lessons are low-prep and high-impact, I am able to devote more energy to teaching and responding to student needs rather than creating materials from scratch. Your generosity has not only saved valuable planning time, but has also brought consistency, excitement, and growth to our math routine. Thank you for investing in my students and in my development as an educator. Your support continues to make a lasting difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1756763368487,"projectUrl":"project/making-math-fun/9324715/","projectTitle":"Making Math Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seiter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7961454_orig.jpg?crop=1052,1052,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628712279239","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/laurenseiter"},{"teacherId":7961454,"projectId":9326905,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for bringing Kaugya'taat Garden: Learning Through Growth to life in our classroom. The excitement on my students' faces when they first saw the hydroponic materials was unforgettable! Several of them immediately started guessing what we could grow, and others proudly explained how plants grow \"even without real dirt.\" We set up our first system together, and the sense of ownership they felt was powerful.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've been using the garden daily as part of our science and cultural learning. Students are tracking plant growth, testing light and water variables, and connecting what we're doing to local knowledge about gathering and seasonal foods. One of my favorite moments was when a student said, \"We're growing our own greens... right here!\" This is something that feels especially meaningful in our remote village.\r\n\r\nNext, students will design their own mini experiments to explore how different conditions affect growth. They're learning to think like scientists while also building confidence, teamwork, and pride. Part of promoting literacy is allowing students to feel the books and look through the books, which promotes curiousity.
