My students have felt more at home in my classroom and are able to choose items that help them stay focused. They eagerly tested out the flexible seating, choosing spots where they felt most comfortable and ready to learn. For students who struggle with focus and sensory regulation, the addition of wobble stools, standing desks, and fidgets has provided essential movement opportunities, allowing them to engage with lessons without feeling restless or overwhelmed. The standing desks have allowed my more active students the ability to move while working on assignments, and the cubby desks have helped those students who get distracted easily. \r\n\r\nThe students are also learning self discipline with the new items. We have implemented a check out system, and we use the phrase \"as long as it is used as a tool and not a toy\" to help students recognize when they are using the tools appropriately, and when they are being too distracted by the fun sensory items in the classroom. Students are allowed to make decisions that are going to benefit their education, and have the autonomy to move around the room and make decisions that will support themselves. \r\n\r\nWe are excited for the future with these items, and the other students who are going to benefit from these tools. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our students' learning experiences, and we are so grateful for your support in helping them thrive.
