Because of you, our reading space has completely transformed into a place where my students truly want to be. We now have comfy seating, new books, a beautiful rug, a puppet show stage, phonemic awareness games, and bookshelves that make everything feel inviting and organized. It feels like a real little library made just for them.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was watching my students walk in and see everything for the first time. Their faces lit up. They immediately went to the books, picked out spots on the couches, and started reading together. Some of my quieter students, who don't always choose books first, were curled up and engaged right away. It was one of those moments where you just know it matters.\r\n\r\nWe've already started using the space every day. During our reading block, students are choosing books and practicing foundational skills in a more relaxed and comfortable environment. The phonemic awareness games have been especially helpful for my small groups, giving them hands-on ways to hear and work with sounds. The puppet stage has also become a favorite. Students are beginning to retell stories, act out characters, and even create their own little shows with partners. It has been such a fun way to build confidence and language skills.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our class are to continue building strong reading habits and comprehension skills. We are working on identifying characters, settings, and major events in stories, and now students can act those out or share them through puppets. We are also continuing to grow our phonemic awareness skills through daily practice and small group support. This new space is helping make all of that more meaningful and engaging.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has created more than just a classroom library. You have created a space where students feel comfortable, excited, and proud to learn. Thank you for investing in my students and giving them something they will use and remember every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1763936088154,"projectUrl":"project/awaken-reading-and-story-telling-in-kind/9921155/","projectTitle":"Awaken Reading and Story Telling in Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McCoy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10360540"},{"teacherId":10404644,"projectId":10022745,"letterContent":"You are the best!
