This has allowed my students to see the world has more similarities than they had previously thought. Additionally, they have been impressed with Trevor Noah's voice, determination, and humor in spite of the circumstances he grew up in--showing them that anything can be possible if you want it to be. \r\nWe have spent time reading the book together and holding discussions about what is happening, in small groups so they can speak more freely about how they feel or ask questions they are nervous to ask in front of others, and individually so they can have a more intimate reaction to chapters.\r\nFor a few of them, this is the first non-fiction or memoir they have read. It has opened their eyes to connecting to another person through literature. Others have seen this as an opportunity to learn about how they can grow as readers and writers.","fullyFundedDate":1755096654143,"projectUrl":"project/inspiring-memoirs/9576540/","projectTitle":"Inspiring Memoirs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3686350"},{"teacherId":9920890,"projectId":9882227,"letterContent":"My heart is overflowing with gratitude!
