This is important because our middle school team has had upwards of 50 student athletes try out each season, and we try to keep at least 40 athletes on the team.\r\n\r\nTime to practice without the need of a coach's involvement, due to the high interest of the sport at our school, is increasingly important. Because of your donation, we were able to add several vital materials to our classroom such as violin shoulder rests and digital tuners. These are items that we use every day to help us set ourselves up for success. The shoulder rests give young violinists and violists the opportunity to hold their instruments with proper position, a foundational skill for musical success. And the tuners allow all of the musicians to be more self-sufficient as they prepare their strings for more accurate intonation. It's very hard to play a piece in tune if your open strings are not in tune first!
