The moment the materials arrived, my students lit up with excitement—they couldn't believe the colorful bins of sensory toys, calming pillows, Legos, stickers, and creative supplies were just for them. One student hugged a fuzzy pillow and said, \"This is the calmest I've felt all day.\" That alone told me everything I needed to know about how deeply this project matters.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the resources to create a \"Reset & Recharge Zone\" in our wellness room—a safe space where students can go to regulate emotions, take a sensory break, or re-center themselves with hands-on calming tools. One of our current classroom activities is a \"Feelings Journal Station\" where students use coloring books, stickers, and SEL prompts to express how they're feeling in the moment. It's become a favorite part of the day for many!\r\n\r\nNext, we're integrating these tools into our group SEL lessons. Students will learn coping skills, explore emotional vocabulary, and practice mindfulness through fun, interactive projects.
